Intimate concert performance from 1959. Recorded at The Town Hall in New York City, Nina Simone s performance was spectacular. Mostly solo work, her voice is rich and incredibly emotional throughout. Though it is supposed to be a live performance there were some tracks that she went back into the studio and re-recorded specifically for this album. The stunning rendition of Black Is The Color Of My True Love s Hair might be the stand out on the album with Wild Is The Wind a close second. 11 tracks in total, reissued from the fine folks at 4 Men With Beards on colored vinyl.
