The Breeders 4th, back on wax. 2008 s Mountain Battles would be a sort of return to form for Kim Deal and her twin sister Kelley Deal. While their previous effort (2002 s Title TK) found the band with a lo-fi work-in-progress vibe, Mountain Battles sees the Breeders back with a revived confidence in their unique quirks. The album was recorded between 2002 and 2007 at several studios around the country, including Steve Albini s Electrical Audio in Chicago, Manny Nieto s studio in L.A., Refraze Studios in Dayton, plus some basement recordings for good measure.13 tracks including Bang On, Walk It Off, Overglazed, and more. This is the 2018 4AD reissue, complete with custom full color booklet and printed inner sleeve.
